Good Taste Restaurant : Baguio City

My go to restaurant every time I visit Baguio. The restaurant offers a selection of dishes of Filipino and Chinese origins as well as some original menus. I am amused to see local residents of the city and the Cordillera sharing a meal in the next table. This restaurant seems like a default preference for the people from the highlands.

I must say, I have been to many restaurants in Baguio and honestly the dishes served are almost similar. Surely most of the ingredients are sourced from the local market with lots and lots of very affordable and fresh vegetables. It is just hard to justify a hefty price for a vegetable dish. But hey, scrap the too extravagant presentation and decorative terms of the menu and there you get it, the good taste! A delicious full meal with a bill that does not empty the pocket, in Filipino term, it is so sulit.

There are two branches of Good Taste in Baguio, one in Cariño Street and the other in Otek street.  Both locations have easy access to the Public Market.

As for the service crews, I have read many complaints about them being unfriendly. I have not encountered one to be honest. Just don’t expect them to be too accommodating when they have a lot of customers to attend to. A smile and a polite request would be enough to brighten a typical and tiresome day.
